5th place finish caps off CORR season: The Cuffaro Motorsports crew worked diligently to get the truck prepped and ready to race during the two weeks between the Texas and Primm rounds of the 2007 CORR season. As usual, the truck ran really well and during the second practice session posted the third quickest time in a field of nearly 30 trucks. Qualifying for Saturday's race didn't go as smoothly as planned, but the team was still able to get into the top 10. The first half of the race was pretty uneventful for the racers, but once the competition yellow flew everything changed. Battles begun all over the race track and Todd found himself dicing it out with Federico's Toyota for the 5th spot. After several laps Todd was able to get by and held onto the spot for the team's first top-5 in CORR. "I had so much fun out there today. The course was challenging and everybody raced really clean. I'm begining to make fewer mistakes and will now focus on setting the truck up better for the different track conditions. I think next year will be a good one for us."
Todd Cuffaro and team finish strong in first CORR race: Cuffaro Motorsports tackles SCORE Primm 300: Todd Cuffaro, along with co-rider Jorge Lameda, drew the first starting position in Class 1 for the first time and managed to keep the car in the physical lead until the fuel stop at Pit C on the second lap, where they were passed by cars 103 and 108. The team switched drivers at Pit B on the third lap where they had worked back up to 2nd on the road. During the driver change it was discovered that a front limit strap had broken; it was removed and the car was back on the road in 4th with Vic Bruckmann behind the wheel. Vic moved the car back into position for a possible podium finish only to have a front shock give out due to the absence of the limit strap, forcing the team to finish in the 7th spot. Following the race Todd stated, "we were being held up a ton by the slower Trophy Trucks which allowed the rest of the Class 1 cars to stack up behind us, regardless we ran a 70 percent pace all day, the suspension was amazing until the strap broke and we all had a lot of fun! We were a bit behind Herbst on time all day, but really close to the rest of the guys so it was pretty exciting."
